Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Zilwe ("we", "us") operates the website you are using. We are the data controller for personal data processed via the Service. For privacy questions, contact glakshay918@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and avatar (if you sign in with Google).
- Review activity: the courses you review, your answers to review questions, and the free-text of your reviews.
- Content you submit: reviews, flags, and course reports.
- Technical data: IP address and basic request logs for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your data
To deliver the Service: authenticate you, attribute your reviews, calculate Trust Scores, surface reviews to other users, send transactional emails (e.g. password reset), and prevent abuse. Legal bases under GDPR: contract (Service delivery), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention), and consent (where required).
4. Sharing & processors
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the Service:
- Our hosting and database infrastructure provider, which stores your account and learning data.
- Google, when you choose Google Sign-In, to authenticate your account.
- Email delivery providers, to send transactional emails.
5. Public information
Your display name and the free-text of your reviews are public and appear on course pages. Avoid putting anything in those fields you don't want public.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9); we will delete personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required. Reviews may be retained in anonymized form for the integrity of the Trust Score.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for the database, role-based access, and Row-Level Security on user data. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected issues to glakshay918@gmail.com.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Brazil under LGPD), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email glakshay918@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on the Service. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
